Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Induces bone formation in conjunction with TGF-beta-1 or TGF-beta-2.
Gene References into Functions
  1. NK cells promote fetal development through the secretion of growth-promoting factors, pleiotrophin and osteoglycin. PMID: 29262349
  2. These results reveal a novel pathway in which miR-155 inhibits Ogn expression to regulate proliferation and differentiation of C2C12 myoblast cells. PMID: 29161332
  3. elevated LIP/LAP ratio robustly increased Ogn expression and cell death under stress by modulating the mitogen-activated protein kinase/activator protein 1 pathway (MAPK/AP-1). PMID: 28383550
  4. OGN plays a critical role in negatively regulating ischaemia-induced angiogenesis by inhibiting VEGF-VEGFR2 signalling and thereby attenuating endothelial cells tube formation, proliferation, and migration. PMID: 28069703
  5. The current study discovered a novel 72-kDa chondroitin sulfate-OGN that is specific for innate immune cells. This variant is able to bind and activate TLR4. PMID: 27878326
  6. mimecan is a satiety hormone in adipose tissue, and that mimecan inhibits food intake independently of leptin signaling by inducing IL-1beta and IL-6 expression in the hypothalamus. PMID: 26870797
  7. lack of the proteoglycan OGN does not affect the progression of atherosclerosis in mice PMID: 25463067
  8. The expression of osteoglycin decreased in the medial, basolateral, and central amygdala regions after chronic immobilization stress in mice. PMID: 22672618
  9. Osteoglycin may be a crucial humoral bone anabolic factor that is produced by muscle tissues. PMID: 22351757
  10. The temporal-spatial specific pattern and unique co-localization of Dspp, Mepe, Mimecan and Versican suggest they play complementary roles during odontogenesis. PMID: 22042093
  11. even though there are 3-5 glucocorticoid response elements in the mimecan promoter, glucocorticoid may regulate mimecan transcription indirectly through the synthesis of intermediate proteins PMID: 21938403
  12. Mimecan in pituitary corticotroph cells may regulate adrenocorticotrophic hormone secretion and the hypothalamo-pituitary-adrenal axis PMID: 21664248
  13. High expression of osteoglycin decreases the gelatinase activity of hepatocarcinoma Hca-F cells cultured with extract of lymph node. PMID: 20027687
  14. processing of the prodomain of OGN by BMP-1 potentiates the ability of OGN to modulate the formation of collagen fibrils PMID: 15292192
