Precision
Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%
Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%
Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
Linearity
To assess the linearity of the assay, samples were spiked with high concentrations of human ARC in various matrices and diluted with the Sample Diluent to produce samples with values within the dynamic range of the assay.

Q&A and Customer Reviews

 Q&A
Q:

1) What are the recommended minimum dilutions for human plasma and serum?
2) Is the kit compatible in human CSF or do you have any data indicating that the kit is capable of detecting ARC protein in CSF?
3) Is the kit compatible with samples from non-human primates? Do you have any data from biofluids in NHPs where the kit has had reactivity with NHP ARC protein?

A:
Thanks for your inquiry!
There is no need to dilute the normal human serum and plasma sample generally.
And I will send you manual reference by email later.
As for the CSF and NHPS samples, so sorry that we have no detection because the samples are difficult to collect. Here advice yo to arrange preliminary experiment.
Appreciated to your kind understanding.

Target Data

Function Required for consolidation of synaptic plasticity as well as formation of long-term memory. Regulates endocytosis of AMPA receptors in response to synaptic activity. Required for homeostatic synaptic scaling of AMPA receptors (By similarity). Plays a role in the regulation of cell morphology and cytoskeletal organization. Required in the stress fiber dynamics and cell migration.
Gene References into Functions
  1. The ARC complex revealed association with verbal and total IQ in child. PMID: 28671113
  2. Study identified several rare mutations that reduced ARC expression in schizophrenia patients. Furthermore, DNA methylation of ARC in schizophrenia patients may be associated with a downregulation of ARC mRNA expression. These findings suggest that multiple rare ARC variants and DNA methylation of ARC might contribute to the pathogenesis of schizophrenia. PMID: 27464451
